The Responsibilities For The Web Designer

• Design bespoke websites for build in WordPress and other platforms
• Produce exciting design flats to brief
• Produce design wireframes and mock-ups with UI/ UX considerations
• Design website assets and branding elements
• Implement design and content changes in CMS
• Design new and edit live landing pages
• Collaborate with developers on website build
• Design creative content for client marketing campaign and advertising activities
• Design updates for existing projects
• Implement Adhoc client work
• Give estimations of time required for a design project (internally)
• Share, challenge and develop best practices

The skills you need to be our Junior Web Designer

• 1+ years’ website design experience in a similar business or university
• 1+ year wireframe design, implementing UX and UI processes
• Must be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop & Illustrator
• 1+ years’ experience with HTML & CSS
• Must be able to use custom WordPress & Gutenberg editor
• Must be able to understand typography and legibility best practise
• A good understanding of PHP best practice
• A basic knowledge of SEO principles when building
• JavaScript experience would be a nice to have
• Must be able to mix creativity with commercial understanding
• A passion to bring new ideas and develop them
• Ability to work as part of a team and hit deadlines
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written, to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Desire to stay up to date with all industry developments and best practices
